Installation of Band Committee 2006/2007

The APMB recently installed its new committee, with Stf Sgt Kuan Kheen Lke heading the team as the new President; Justin Ooi and Amir Safwan both as his Vice President 1 & 2.

This internal event was attended by ABEX members, teacher advisor Mrs Bhajan Kaur, and the band also had a surprised visitor from the DiGi Celebriteen program.. National Runners Up, Dave Chai.

The installation ended with lunch served to all guests..

In the recent Merdeka Day… the APMB, clad in its latest uniform… performed with an impressive 60-odd member team. The band played 4 songs in loops, and managed to pull through pretty alright!

This year also saw some ex-seniors (ABEX) members who came back to support the members as usual.

This year the APMB also boasted several sixth form members, of whom 7 of them are girls… which in some ways, marked a history of the band… as this year the band had the highest number of girl-membersperforming in a show. They were pretty fast learners, and the members were glad that the sixth formers joined in to bring the membership to another level. Also performed were ex-seniors Foo Kit, Chun Kit and Kevin Ng.. strong sifoos of the Trumpeter species.

Here;s Mrs Bhajan, the famous Band Teacher Advisor and Shan, outgoing President of the band… who was undergoing the traditional "Lauk-the-President" ceremony (Hard to explain which year this started.. but hey.. it was fun y’know!)…

All in all.. the most important thing in the spirit of the band is… everyone had fun.. great exposure for the few juniors who took part in the parade for the first time.. and heyyy… the members had another record year of no one "falling down" again! Not too bad eh?
